This a TIME special report about women from all over the world who have achieved the unimaginable. Women who broke the glass ceiling in their particular field. These women defied the odds by coming the first in male denominated fields. 

From Oprah Winfrey who was the first women to own and produce a talk show, Serena Williams who is the first athlete to win 23 Grand Slam Singles, Issa Rae who is the first black woman to create and star in a premium series on cable network, Sheryl Sandberg who is the first woman to become a social media billionaire, Shona Rhimes, Danica Patrick and Ilhan Omar pictured above who is the first Somali-American Muslim person to become a legislator in the States.
